Tunnels and Gunners Walking Tour

During the 90 minute walking tour, we will visit former gun emplacements underground tunnels and other military relics dating back to the 1870s and learn about how the site played a crucial role in the defence of Sydney Harbour.

Catching train from Riverwood or Mortdale Station to catch 10.02am Taronga Zoo Ferry from Circular Quay then boarding the 238 Bus from the wharf to Beaconsfield Street.  The tour is booked to begin at 11 am and then lunch afterwards at nearby cafe.  After lunch you can either return to ferry by bus or walk around headland back to Zoo(approx 3.5km).

Tour includes some steep steps, underground tunnels and some uneven surfaces.  A moderate level of fitness and mobility required.
