About the Event
Travel by train then ferry to Watsons Bay. Start our self guided tour and follow the South Head Heritage Trail. Visit the Hornby Lighthouse and other historic sites. We will then proceed back to The Gap. From here we can visit Dunbar House and many other local attractions. Following the tour we will meet at the Watsons Bay Hotel for lunch. After lunch we will make our way back by ferry and train.
This walk is regarded as one of the best in Sydney. This is a self guided tour of about 3-4 kms. A few stairs are involved but generally the grade is flat and easy going.
A reasonable level of fitness is required as in places the surface is uneven. A lot of the walk is in the National Park. On part of the walk is a place renowned for whale whatching.
Return home by ferry and train
Transport will cost you $2.50 on your opal card. Lunch at your own expense.
